Heading to Amelia Island, Florida - May 3 - 5

The Isle of Eight Flags Annual Shrimp Festival is approaching fast and I am creating new designs for the occasion.  I will have sea glass earrings and bracelets and some sea turtle themed pieces along with lots of fun and colorful beads and sterling silver designs.

Turtle nesting season is just beginning on Fernandina Beach.  I was fortunate to be at the beach several years ago as Turtle Watch volunteers dug a nest in late summer. The tiny hatchlings emerged, scurried and scattered to the sea.  What an amazing sight! 

Amelia Island is such a beautiful, fun and historic place.  The people are wonderful and so are the beaches.
